Welcome
The
wine domain of ‘Les Roullets’ (old Provençal for ‘evergreen holm
oak’) is located in the heart of the Provence at the foot of the
Luberon mountain range, in the golden triangle formed by Gordes (6 km),
Ménerbes/Oppède (2 km) and Bonnieux (6 km). On
average, this region is blessed with more hours of sunshine than any
other part of France! It
also enjoys the status of a national park, where building is practically
prohibited and where most houses are built of the characteristic local
sandstone (‘en pierre’). In
the nearby village of Ménerbes (2 km), Peter Mayle wrote his bestseller
about life in the Provence - ‘A year in Provence’ - which was
recently filmed in the vicinity. |
